Mental Health First Aid Course

What the course is about:
The Mental Health First Aid Course teaches skills in order that “first aiders” are able to recognize mental crises or deterioration of mental health among colleagues, address them and support them. It is a course similar to the classical First Aid courses, however, focusing on Mental Health.

Format:
The course will be online (course language either English or German), with 6 modules of 2 hours each over 8 weeks:

• Wednesday, 18.10.2023
• Wednesday, 25.10.2023
• Wednesday, 08.11.2023
• Wednesday, 15.11.2023
• Wednesday, 22.11.2023
• Wednesday, 29.11.2023

Target group:
A maximum of 15 people can attend. The course is targeted towards senior staff, e.g., group leaders, senior scientists, technicians or admin staff. Please note: The course is not for people currently in crisis themselves.

Costs will be covered by the Helmholtz program „Changing Earth“.
